Why Reconstruct Black Education on a Human-Centered Foundation? The education system is not designed to meet the needs of Black students and the communities they come from because it has never realized the African as fully human. Reconstructing the hood on an African-centered foundation involves a comprehensive and intentional effort to center our history, culture, and experiences in the design and delivery of educational programs and curricula.
