The Why
The traditional education system is not designed to meet the needs of Black youth and their communities, nor has it ever recognized African people as fully human. Reconstructing the hood on an African-centered foundation involves a comprehensive and intentional effort to center our history, culture, experiences, and achievements in the creation and execution of educational and leadership development programs for Black children.
